Spirograph – or optical illusion

I tried to get the animated gif to rotate, but there is something not quite right when I uploaded it. Will wait for another day to try and fix.
I made this in photoshop and it is supposed to look like the grey line bend up and down but really they are straight….I think thats what it does….maybe…
